About

Welcome!

Who are we?
We are a local chapter of MOPS International, in Watertown, South Dakota.  MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers.  MOPS is a non-denominational Christian support group for all moms.

Who may join MOPS?
Any mother who has children ages birth through the kindergarten year.  There are no other requirements.

What happens at MOPS meetings?
Mother's will get to enjoy brunch, listen to relevant speakers, make crafts, and most importantly talk with other moms just like them.

Your children will be cared for by volunteer and paid caregivers on-site in their appropriate aged classroom.  You may also keep your infant/child in the MOPS meeting with you if needed, as long as s/he doesn't disrupt our speakers.

When does MOPS meet?
Our group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 9:00am to 11:00am from September through May.  We also meet informally at the park during the summer months.

Where?
We meet at First Baptist Church in Watertown, located at the corner of Maple St. and 14th Ave. N - just off of Hwy. 81. You do not need to be a member of First Baptist, or any church, to attend.

Cost?
MOPS is a non-profit organization and we do need to cover our operating and child care costs in the form of annual dues.  Both local and MOPS International dues will need to be paid by any member choosing to join MOPS.  Total dues for our group are approx. $75 per year, and we are one of the least expensive MOPS groups in South Dakota.  However, confidential scholarships are available.

Your first meeting is free so come and check us out!
